Teddy bears picnic circa 1990 s!!!!

Stanley street

Images slowly appear...as i put them  through my editing suite coaxing  them to make a picture a memory that i can work with!

Faces pop out of the darkness!!!People i lived with and really loved and cared for.....
Real working class women who worked hard and helped each other through thick and thin....
watching each others children ,caring for them feeding them when each other had no money....
 a real sense of comunity!
Faded  pictures of children now adults who have their own children....
The circle of life never ending.......
These children were giving the most precious gift...the gift of love  and caring being taught to share and help each other and above all attention .....

There wasn't a time were they were not watched by an adult as they played up and down the lane....
every body eating together in the sunshine picnic style!
Yes we didn't have fancy houses or big gardens or lots of cash.....

But we had fun and laughter and something that was so so special............
something that you don't realise you've had till its gone...

I'm still in touch with most of the friends i lived with  and they were as excited as me at seeing these........
happy happy days girls x

well i never!

I think Ive mentioned that I'm plowing through old negatives!!100s of them but Ive also started to put old films into the chemist to be processed i had 56!!!Dating back from the seventies!!all in a plastic bag that has been moved from place to place over the years!!!Its been hitty missy on the quality of the negatives!!and at 5 pound 99p each for the development of the negatives only ,it works out a lot of money!!
But i was thrilled to bits to find this film!!!Memory's flooded back!!!!our trip to Edinburgh!!!It must have been in the late 1980s or early 1990s i cant remember!! Me and my best friend Barbara went for a weekend !!!I'm sure the above photo is the camera obscurer which was fascinating!!!!
I vaguely remember Babs buying an amber ring!!
 The castle....
i remember it was so much fun...

This must have been our guest house....

What a gem to find this amongst my 56  rolls of film!!!!
I have had 6 films processed! but as i sorted out my craft room i found another five rolls!!!

lovely memories of a wonderful time with a wonderful friend x
