SUNSHINE....

Today the sun shone and my poor baby is ill,two weeks shes been ill and today we had another trip to the doctors in the sunshine....Flowers were peeking out all over the place and i suddenly realised that every where i look there was colour! Flowers that evoked memory's of childhood past , buttercups!!
How many of us remember sitting in vast fields of buttercups and putting them under our chins to see if we liked butter!!I'm sure i read somewhere that there becoming rather rare....Making daisy chains in the summer and wearing them around our necks all day till they just  fell apart!!

Beautiful fat purple and white clover that we insisted if you sucked on them you would taste the honey and nectar sweet and sticky ...of course that was rubbish!!!But  it was such a magical time  ,we spent hours wandering over the farmers fields  and playing down the burn!!

We stopped  near the doctors and soaked up the sun for a while, a chance to give Rosa a rest.

The derelict houses were surrounded by colour

Splashes of scarlet and snowy white fought their way through dirt and rubble! These  streets were used not so long ago to film a German production of a war film, the local community being invited to dress up in 1940 style clothes and become extras on the set!It was so much fun watching and i must find the pictures i took that day to share with you.
We walked home slowly  in the sun

The heat  beating down on our backs!! what a lovely change from the depressing rain and gloom of the past five month!!

Past Mrs Alf's garden  with newly planted pots!
Into our tiny tiny garden with little flashes of colour! We sat in the sun  Rosa eating ice pops to cool down..penny  guarding her as usual!

We watched as Sam put up a giant England flag up above our local shop!

The football is on every night and is driving all my  friends mad!! Football every night for hours!!

The flag  fluttered in the blazing sun and we laid back and soaked it up HEAVEN!!
