Swans scones and extra bits!!!!

It was so so cold today we jumped in the car and went to see our beautiful granddaughter....

then i called for my friend Judith and we went for our daily walk around the park with Penny

The clouds were turning a dark grey and i thought we were in for a storm! But a slow trickle of freezing gold  rain was all we got! No cups of tea today  the cafe in the park serves lovely tea and scones!!! but not today!! we went for a really brisk walk instead.....

around the lake, Penny's  best part of the day.She is always straight into the water but today must have been too cold........
She debated  with herself  whether to go in!!but decided against it!!

 Green starting to come back!!!

It still looks like a cold winter morning to me I'm longing for the summer and for the sun to come out...for the park to wake up!!The beautiful plants to be put in to the ground and everything to be a rainbow of colours!! Our park is always stunning  in the summer thanks to the amazing gardeners who work hard every year...

.

As we walked around the lake......

i saw this character  we have  a pair of swans living with the ducks!!Good job Penny didn't go for a dip as i was warned by the park keeper a few months ago that the male swan was attacking  swimming dogs !!and  i cant swim!!so penny would be on her own!!! The swans can be quite vicious

Home for a cuppa and i made some scones!!a fuzzy picture of Penny with one of the baby bunny's who's now called pie!!!after i discovered i couldn't tell the difference between male and female bunny's!!! Amelia Earhart has now been named Arnie Earhart  after we discovered an extra piece of anatomy ...what a shock!!!
